New Delhi: The Ekadashi falling in the Shukla Paksha of Paush month is called Paush Ekadashi. This year this holy date is falling on 30th December and the special thing is that it is also the last Ekadashi of the year 2025. It is believed that fasting, worship and charity done as per rituals on this day leads to special virtuous results.
Being the last Ekadashi of the year, its virtuous effect is believed to last till the coming new year 2026. Along with this, donation of black sesame seeds and black clothes is also considered prohibited. It is believed that these things are related to Saturn and negative influences, which can increase obstacles in life.

One should also avoid donating oil on Pausha Putrada Ekadashi. According to religious beliefs, donating oil on this day can hinder the happiness of children and there is a possibility of increasing financial problems.
donation of salt
On this auspicious date, do not donate salt or lend salt to anyone even by mistake. It has been said in the scriptures that by doing this, one becomes a partner in sin instead of virtue.
