Nuh Jewelery Shop Theft: Efforts to catch 6 armed criminals
Six miscreants entered a jewelery shop in Nuh, Haryana and stole jewelery worth more than Rs 1 crore. Police are trying to identify and arrest the accused with the help of CCTV footage and forensic evidence.
Haryana: Six miscreants entered the jewelery shop in the main market of Pingawan town of Nuh late on Saturday-Sunday night. The incident happened at around 3 pm. Shop owner Hariom Soni had closed the shop and gone home. In the morning, when nearby shopkeepers saw the shutters broken, they informed Hariom.
CCTV footage showed that the miscreants came from a narrow lane. Everyone was wearing black masks and shawls on their faces. One miscreant had a blue bag hanging on his back, in which he kept gold and silver jewellery. Other miscreants were carrying hand bags and satchel bags in their hands.
One of the miscreants was carrying a gun on his shoulder, while the other miscreant walking behind had an iron pipe and was wearing gloves. After the theft, they took away the jewelery tied in bundles.
Estimate of theft of gold and silver
Jeweler Hariom Soni told that a lot of valuable gold and silver jewelery and other items were kept at the shop. He said the estimated value of the theft is more than Rs 1 crore. Hariom said that the list and total value of the stolen goods is being assessed.
Hariom said that on Saturday evening he locked the shop and went home. Next morning he got a serious shock when he saw the shutters broken. It was clearly visible in the CCTV footage that all six miscreants had come fully prepared.
police action
DSP Jitendra Singh Rana said that the police has collected important evidence with the help of forensic team and dog squad. Police are scanning CCTV footage and trying to identify the suspects. He said that teams have been deployed to arrest the accused.
DSP said that the footage of CCTV cameras of the area has been started to be scanned. He said that all the accused would soon be caught and urged people to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
The entire process of theft seen in CCTV footage
It was clearly seen in the CCTV footage that the miscreants entered inside by breaking the shutter of the shop. Everyone wore masks and brought weapons. Stolen goods are shown being carried away in bundles and bags. From the footage, the police came to know about the style and technique of theft of the accused.
It was also seen in the footage that two miscreants were carrying bundles of jewelery on their heads, while the other two were walking behind with hand bags and satchel bags.
