Sitapur: A heart-wrenching news has come out from Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. In Hargaon area here, a loving couple committed suicide in the same temple where they had taken seven rounds 22 days ago. After this incident, sensation has spread in the area. Both of them got married against the wishes of their families, but sadly their world could not last long.

Dead body found hanging from a tree in the temple premises

When people reached the Mahamai temple located in Aniya Kala village of Hargaon on Sunday morning to offer prayers, the ground slipped beneath their feet. The bodies of a young man and a girl were hanging from a tree in the temple premises. As soon as the noise was raised, a huge crowd gathered there. The deceased were identified as Khushiram, 22, and Mohini, 20, residents of Laharpur. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot along with forensic experts.

Three years of love and 22 days of marriage

According to the information, the love affair between Khushiram and Mohini was going on for the last three years. When their relationship deepened, they swore to live and die together. On December 6 this year, both of them got married secretly in the same Mahamai temple. After marriage, Khushiram had brought Mohini to his house and both were living together.

Both belonged to the same family, the family members were angry.

The main reason behind this suicide mystery is said to be family opposition. Khushiram’s sister-in-law Rita told that both of them were cousins. Being from the same family, the family members were strictly against this marriage. Even when they got married 22 days ago, the family members had reached the temple and expressed their displeasure. Perhaps this social pressure and family’s indifference forced him to take this suicidal step.

Police and forensic team engaged in investigation

On receiving information about the incident, Naib Tehsildar Ashok Yadav and CO Neha Tripathi reached the spot along with the police force. The surprising thing is that after receiving the news of death in the temple, only her mother reached Mohini’s family, the rest of the members maintained a distance. His mother and brother-sister-in-law from Khushiram’s house were present on the spot. Area Officer Sadar Neha Tripathi said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The real cause of death will become clear only after the report comes.
