Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a historic step for the people living in rural areas. After the passing of UP Rural Population Bill 2025 (Household Law) by the Assembly, now the houses built in villages are going to get legal recognition. With the implementation of this law, the age-old problem will be solved, in which the villagers had to face difficulties in bank loan, mutation and purchase and sale of property due to lack of solid documents.
Till now, houses built on populated land of villages were not clearly recorded in the revenue records. For this reason they were not considered legal property. Under the new law, Gharauni has been given the status of an official document, due to which houses built in villages will also now be included in the records as valid property.
Now how to get bank loan for house in village
After the implementation of the Gharoni law, only the Gharoni of the house will be considered as valid proof of ownership in rural areas. On the basis of this document, now banks will provide home loan, repair loan and other financial services. Banks will now accept these records, making the loan process easier and faster.
The process of name transfer and correction will also be simple
In the new law, a clear provision has been made for amendments related to household matters. Now mutation will be easier in case of inheritance, succession or sale of property. Earlier, due to lack of clear rules in this regard, disputes and delays were common. Now provision for name correction, error correction, updating mobile number and address has also been made in Gharauni. This will keep the records always up to date and reduce the chances of legal hassles in the future.
Records of village people will be safe, disputes will be less.
A separate household register will be prepared for every village and a special population map will also be made. For this, the responsibility of survey and records officers has been fixed. In each district, a Records Officer will be nominated by the District Magistrate, who will look after these records. This will keep the documents safe and will reduce the disputes related to land and house.
Rural economy of Uttar Pradesh will get strength
Experts believe that this law will give new strength to the rural economy. When village people get bank loans against their houses, they will be able to invest in construction, renovation and small businesses. This will increase employment and give impetus to rural development.
