KKR Batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi Rushed to Hospital After VHT Injury

During the match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 between Mumbai and Uttarakhand KKR batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi made an attempt to take a difficult catch and was then carried to SDMH Hospital in Jaipur. He couldn’t complete the catch and got injured in head and shoulder.

He will undergo CT scans to see how serious the injury is. There is a possibility of concussion since he received a blow to the head. The chances of him participating in the rest of the innings are slim. Mumbai’s next match is on December 29 against Chhattisgarh at the same ground. The 21-year-old player will be very hopeful that he does not miss any matches. He has already played two matches in the VHT so far, scoring a total of 49 runs.

An update in the evening said that Raghuvanshi is now fine and is recovering.

Raghuvanshi was the opener for Mumbai in the first innings and scored 11 runs in 20 balls hitting one four. He was dismissed by the fast bowler Jagmohan Nagarkoti. Earlier Rohit Sharma was out for a golden duck. Mumbai could post 331/7 on the scoreboard. Keeper-batter Hardik Tamore was the top scorer with 93 runs. The total was also augmented by the half-centuries of brothers Musheer Khan and Sarfaraz Khan. However, Uttarakhand had a good start with a half-century by opener Yuvraj Chaudhary.

KKR Spot in Jeopardy for Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Injury situations linked to the player at the moment range from very minor to extensive rehab which can keep him off the field for a few weeks. Mumbai has still five league matches to play in the Elite Group C of the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Depending on how they perform, more matches may be added through the knockouts. However, the IPL 2026 season will start in the last week of March.

In the meantime, Raghuvanshi’s participation in VHT fixtures is uncertain, but he is already looking forward to playing in the IPL. KKR released almost all of their players, particularly openers and wicketkeeper-batsmen, however, they still put their trust in Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

The player has been with KKR for two years running. In the last season, he scored 300 runs in 11 innings, becoming the team’s second-highest run-scorer, next to captain Ajinkya Rahane. He was among very few positives for KKR in the otherwise poor campaign.
