Haaland breaks Ronaldo’s Premier League goal record in Man City win
Erling Haaland has officially rewritten the Premier League record books, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s career goal tally in the competition during a commanding 3-0 victory over West Ham United.
In a high-stakes December clash at the Etihad Stadium, the Norwegian striker scored twice, bringing his total to 104 Premier League goals.
Haaland wasted no time, opening the scoring just five minutes into the match. He later sealed the win in the 69th minute, a strike that moved him past Ronaldo’s mark of 103 goals.

Perhaps most staggering is the efficiency of the feat: Haaland reached the milestone in only 114 matches, a massive 122 games fewer than it took the Portuguese legend to reach his total.
The brace not only pushed Haaland ahead of Ronaldo but also drew him level with Chelsea icon Didier Drogba.

Despite the celebrations, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola urged his squad to stay focused during the festive period.
Speaking to the media after the game, Guardiola revealed his message to the team: “I said to the players, ‘Merry Christmas everyone but it will not be enough if we don’t improve.’”
