I am a staunch opponent of BJP and RSS…people misinterpreted it…. Digvijay Singh gave clarification after post controversy

digital desk- Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh suddenly came to the center of political discussion just before the start of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Saturday. The reason was a post made on his social media platform X, in which he shared an old picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leader LK Advani. In this picture, Narendra Modi is seen sitting near the feet of Lal Krishna Advani. While sharing the picture, Digvijay Singh wrote that how a grassroots volunteer of RSS and a grassroots worker of BJP, working hard, first became the Chief Minister and then the Prime Minister of the country. He described this picture as “extremely impressive” and called it an example of the strength of the organization. After this statement of Digvijay Singh, a round of discussions started in political circles.

People misinterpreted my words – Digvijay Singh

As soon as the post came out, different political meanings started being made about it. Some people saw it as a praise for the strong organizational structure of BJP and RSS, while others saw it as an indirect message to the Congress organization. The special thing is that this post came at a time when the meeting of the CWC, the highest decision-making body of the Congress, was going on and Digvijay Singh himself was present in that meeting. However, after the CWC meeting, when Digvijay Singh was questioned about this post, he clarified that people had misunderstood his point. He clarified that his intention was not to praise the BJP or the RSS in any way, rather he was talking about the role of the organization and the hard work of the grassroots workers. He said bluntly, “I am a staunch opponent of BJP and RSS.”

Many leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi tagged

Despite this, the politics regarding his post is not stopping. Political analysts believe that Digvijay Singh is probably giving a signal to the Congress leadership to strengthen the organization. The question is also arising whether he is pointing towards the lack of active workers at the grassroots level in the Congress. The thing that brought this post more into discussion was that Digvijay Singh tagged Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi in it. Due to this the political atmosphere became more heated. The timing of the post and the list of tagged leaders took it far beyond a simple social media post.
