Unnao. Amid the controversy that arose after the Delhi High Court suspended the sentence given to former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case, Sengar’s daughter has appealed to the people to maintain peace and restraint.
Sengar’s daughter Aishwarya Sengar has shared a post on the social media platform ‘X’ and appealed to the people of Unnao to maintain peace and restraint. He said that any kind of protest should not be resorted to and the judicial process should be trusted.
Aishwarya wrote in her post, “I respectfully request all the people of Unnao to please not adopt the path of any kind of protest. You all are like our family and we do not lose patience in this difficult time. We have full faith in the judicial process. Your patience and blessings are our courage.” After the order of Delhi High Court, anger is being seen among the supporters of the victim. Various social organizations and opposition leaders have started protests in Delhi.
Strong reactions are emerging regarding this decision on social media also. The Supreme Court will on Monday hear the CBI’s plea challenging the Delhi High Court order suspending the life sentence of expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case.
Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice J.K. A vacation bench of Justice Maheshwari and Justice Augustine George Masih is likely to hear the case. The Supreme Court will also hear a separate petition filed by advocates Anjale Patel and Pooja Shilpakar challenging the high court order and seeking a stay on it.
