India-A men’s hockey team gets a grand win against Ireland Gujarati

India-A men’s hockey team continued its impressive performance by defeating Ireland 6-0 in the second match of the ongoing Europe tour. Uttam Singh once again scored the first goal for India A team, after which captain Sanjay scored the goal. Midfielder Mohammad Rahil Mohsi then scored two brilliant goals in a row. At the same time, Amandeep Lakra and Varun Kumar also scored one goal each. India registered its second win for the country by defeating AA Ireland 6-0. After the match, coach Shivendra Singh said, “Our two matches against Ireland have been really good. I am happy with the performance of the players. Now we will play against the French team and hope that we can give an equally impressive performance.”

On Tuesday, India started their Europe tour with an impressive 6-1 win against Ireland at the Hockey Club Orange-Rood. Uttam Singh scored the first goal for the team and later Amandeep increased the team’s lead. After that Aditya Lalge scored two consecutive goals. Forwards Selvam Karthi and Bobby Singh Dhami also found a place in the scoresheet with one goal each. Ireland could score only one goal. India will play against France, England, Belgium and host Netherlands in the next two weeks.

These matches on the European tour are testing the depth and preparation of the players. The national setup is working towards creating a strong talent pool for the Indian senior team.
