Tight security guard in Delhi on New Year celebrations, know how the arrangements will be made

Delhi News: Delhi Police has made strict security arrangements in view of the New Year celebrations to be held on December 31. Keeping in mind the terrorist attack near the Red Fort last month, special security arrangements have been made in view of the large crowd gathering in Delhi-NCR. Major markets like Connaught Place and Khan Market in New Delhi district have more than 600 bars, pubs, restaurants and five-star hotels, where crowds of people gather. Police deployment has been increased in these areas.

How will the strict security arrangements be maintained?

For security, Delhi Police launched Operation Traut 3.0 in the Southern Range, in which 1700 locations were raided and 3964 people were arrested. After this, police of other districts have also started similar preparations. The PCR unit has been fully alerted, and PCR patrolling will be increased from the evening of December 31. Apart from this, Quick Reaction Team (QRT) will be deployed in key markets.

There will be special police surveillance here

Special surveillance of Delhi Police will be done at those places where there may be a threat of terrorist attack, and SWAT team of the special cell will be deployed. Police will keep vigil outside bars, pubs and restaurants, and Excise Department officials will take action against serving liquor to people below 25 years of age. Challans and cases will be filed against those who violate the prescribed quantity and time of liquor.

Also, there will be a ban on entry of vehicles in Connaught Place from 8 pm on December 31. The traffic police has also made a plan to improve the traffic system, in which there will be a ban on diversion and parking of vehicles on many routes. A special campaign will be launched against those who violate traffic rules and drink and drive.
