Actually, Indian captain Shubman Gill is said to be fit for the ODI series against New Zealand. Along with this, there is every hope of middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer returning to the team. Both the players were not part of the team in the ODI series against South Africa due to not being fit. Now after their return some players may be dropped. Meanwhile, star all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah may be rested in view of the upcoming T20I series and T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Rishabh Pant’s place in the team seems to be in danger. In his place, Ishan Kishan, who is in excellent form, may return to the team. It is believed that Ishaan can be included in the team as the second wicketkeeper batsman, while the main wicketkeeper will be KL Rahul. After good performance in the last series, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad may get a chance in the team.

The decision of not giving a chance to any experienced fast bowler in the last series was criticized. In such a situation, Mohammad Siraj can lead the fast bowling attack. The other two fast bowlers will be any two from Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Prasidh Krishna. At the same time, either Akshar Patel or Washington Sundar may get a chance. Nitish Kumar Reddy is also likely to be included in the team.
