What AMC fantasy TV show is now available on Netflix?

As of today, all seven episodes of AMC’s Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale Season 1 are now finally available for streaming on Netflix. The supernatural drama is based on V.V. James’ 2020 novel Sanctuary: A Novel of Suspense, Witchcraft, and Small Town Secrets.

The show is created and written by Debbie Horsfield, with Susie Conklin serving as a showrunner. The Season 1 cast includes Elaine Cassidy, Amy de Bhrun, Hazel Doupe, Stephanie Levi-John, Valerie O’Connor, Kelly Campbell, and Stephen Lord. It is executive-produced by Monumental Television, Alison Owen, Debra Hayward, Amira El Nemr, Alison Carpenter, Jill Forbes, Conklin, VV James, Guymon Cassady, and Horsfield.

“Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale is set in a contemporary world where witchcraft is real. It takes place in the idyllic English town of Sanctuary, where for hundreds of years witches have lived peacefully, as valued members of society,” reads the synopsis. “Until now…at the heart of the story is Sarah Fenn, Sanctuary’s resident witch, on whom the town relies to solve their problems when conventional remedies have failed. When local teen rugby star, Dan Whithall, dies tragically in an apparent accident, his death exposes a terrifying undercurrent of suspicion and fear towards Sarah and her teenage daughter, Harper.”
