However, star player Smriti Mandhana completes 10,000 runs in international women’s cricket and becomes the fastest player to achieve this milestone. She reached this feat in just 289 innings.

However, with this great record, Smriti Mandhana also surpasses former Indian star and legendary player Mithali Raj, who achieved this feat in just 291 innings. While entering this match, Mandhana was 27 runs away to mark the historic feat.

On Sunday, Smriti Mandhana played a crucial knock, scoring a half-century after India were asked to bat first by Sri Lanka. During the first T20I, she created history by becoming the first Indian woman to score 4,000 runs in Women’s T20I cricket. Although she made 25 runs in that opening match of the five-game series, Mandhana also became only the second woman overall to reach the 4,000-run mark in T20Is, after New Zealand’s Suzie Bates.
