What will be the changes in CIBIL score rules?

Reserve Bank of India has taken a big decision before the new year. According to the new decision, the rule of CIBIL score will be changed. The important thing is that this new rule will benefit the borrowers.

We would like to inform you that as per the new decision of RBI now the CIBIL score will be updated within 14 days. Earlier CIBIL score was updated after about 30 to 45 days. But now the CIBIL score is going to be updated in two weeks and this will directly benefit the borrowers, according to people in the know.

RBI has given new instructions to all the banks and NBFC companies across the country. According to the new directive, credit information will have to be sent to credit bureaus like CIBIL, Experian, Equifax and CRIF High Mark at least twice a month from January 1, 2026. Earlier this work was done every one-and-a-half months.
