Giriraj Singh said, “We have been saying from the beginning that Mamata Banerjee has rolled out the red carpet for Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators and allowed violence against Hindus.” He further taunted and said that if CM Mamata Banerjee is so popular in Bangladesh then she should leave Bengal and go there and become the Prime Minister there.
He alleged that CM Mamata Banerjee is trying to turn Bengal into Bangladesh for vote bank politics, while Hindus are being persecuted in the neighboring country.
This statement comes at a time when the recent incidents of violence against minorities, especially Hindus, in Bangladesh remain a topic of debate in India. Giriraj Singh repeatedly accused the Mamata government of giving jobs and protection to infiltrators and said that it should be investigated. The Hindu community in Bengal is scared.
Apart from this, he hit out at Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s recent post on Prime Minister Modi, saying, “Why did Digvijay Singh appreciate? I don’t need his certificate, but BJP today is a party of workers and patriots. Congress is a party of families.”
