Good news for youth in UP, avail benefits, government is giving opportunity

Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has started the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan to provide self-employment opportunities to the youth. Under this scheme, youth between 21 to 40 years can set up their own enterprise and get an interest-free loan of up to Rs 5 lakh as government assistance. Apart from this, 10 percent margin money grant will also be given on the project cost.

Financial relief will be provided by interest free loan

The biggest feature of the scheme is that no interest will be charged on this loan for four years. With this, youth can free themselves from financial burden and strengthen their business. According to Deputy Commissioner Industries Neha Singh, the scheme is especially beneficial for those youth who dream of starting an enterprise but are unable to proceed due to financial reasons.

Educational Qualification and Application Process

The minimum educational qualification to apply for this scheme has been fixed as class 8th to intermediate or its equivalent. Interested youth will have to apply online to avail the benefits of the scheme. With this, more and more youth will be able to get self-employment opportunities and will also be able to contribute in providing employment to other youth.

Trained youth will get preference

The government has decided to give priority to trained youth under the scheme. Candidates trained in schemes like Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, One District One Product Training, Scheduled Caste/Tribe Training Scheme, Skill Upgradation run by UP Skill Development Mission will get preference in the application.

If an applicant does not have training, he can avail the benefits of the scheme by obtaining a skill related certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized institution. Youth trained in ITI, Polytechnic, Government/Private Engineering College, Nursing College, NRLM+NULM trained candidates, Startup Institute or Entrepreneurship Development Institute can also apply for this scheme.
