Yashasvi Jaiswal Will Play VHT match vs GOA: Now Indian team’s opener batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal will also be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy organized by BCCI. Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal will join the Mumbai team ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Goa on December 31. Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Secretary Unmesh Khanwilkar has confirmed this to IANS.

Left-handed opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal could not play Mumbai’s first two matches in Jaipur due to recovery from acute gastroenteritis. Earlier this month, Yashasvi Jaiswal was hospitalized with stomach cramps after Mumbai’s last Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match against Rajasthan. The test report confirmed acute gastroenteritis, after which doctors advised him to take rest for a week.

Yashasvi will join the team on 29th or 30th

Speaking to media agency IANS on Sunday, Khanwilkar said that Yashasvi will join the team on the evening of 29th December or the morning of 30th. After this, we will play the match against Goa on 31st December. In Vijay Hazare Trophy, Mumbai team has won both the matches played so far.

Rohit Sharma was also seen in the first two matches

Rohit Sharma was seen as an opening batsman in the first 2 matches for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Now Jaiswal will join the team in place of Rohit. It is believed that Jaiswal can also play some more matches for Mumbai in this tournament. However, this will depend on his availability, as India has to play a 3-match ODI series against New Zealand from January 11.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a century in Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Yashasvi Jaiswal played an unbeaten inning of 116 runs in the ODI series against South Africa. After this, he scored 101 runs against Haryana in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 14 December.
