Along with air services, rail and road traffic has also been affected. It is being told that more than 100 trains are running late.

 

Meanwhile, Delhi Airport issued an advisory at 8 am. It has been told that due to dense fog, flights are currently being operated in CAT III condition, due to which there is a possibility of delay or cancellation of some flights by several hours.

The Civil Aviation Ministry posted on social media, ‘Due to fog in some parts of North India, flight operations at some airports may be affected, which may cause delays. Passengers are advised to stay updated with the airline’s official communication channels, allow extra time for reaching the airport and check-in processes and plan their journey accordingly.’

Train and road conditions

The train coming to Delhi is also running late. According to railway officials, around 110 trains including Rajdhani, Tejas and Duronto are running behind schedule due to dense fog. The routes of many trains, especially those coming to Delhi, have been changed. It is expected that fog will continue to impact train traffic in the coming days.

 

Visibility remained very low on Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway, making it very difficult for vehicles to move. Traffic speed remained very slow in many areas. In view of the dense fog and severe cold, the Noida district administration has declared holiday in all the schools of the district from December 29 to January 1.
