Recently, the facelift version of this micro-SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads. New spy pictures have made it clear that this model is now very close to production. New design will be inspired by Punch EV

On the design front, the front look of the 2026 Tata Punch Facelift will be largely inspired by the Punch EV. It will have a new designed bumper, sleeker LED DRLs and headlights installed in vertical position. The two special slits for air intake on the front grille give it a sharp and modern appeal. While the old muscular cladding has been retained in the side profile, the newly designed alloy wheels will give this car a fresh and premium identity.

Luxury touch will be available in the interior

Major changes can be seen not only in the exterior but also in the interior. According to the spy shots, the new Tata Punch can be given a new steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For the first time in the segment, advanced safety features like ventilated seats, 360-degree camera and possibly Level-2 ADAS may be included. These features will make it one of the most high-tech cars in the micro-SUV segment.

There will be no major changes in the engine

Mechanically, no major changes are expected in the Tata Punch facelift. The existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will be continued. Along with this, Tata’s reliable ‘twin cylinder’ CNG variant with technology will also be available. Transmission options will include 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The company’s focus is on strengthening features and safety more than the engine.

When will it be launched and what will be the price?

Looking at auto industry reports and the pace of testing, Tata Punch Facelift could be launched in the first half of 2026 (H1 2026). This car will be a great option for those customers who want a safe, feature-loaded SUV with strong road presence in a low budget. At the time of launch, its price may be slightly higher than the current model.
