Rampur Road Accident News:A heart-wrenching road accident took place in Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening, which shocked the onlookers. An uncontrolled truck laden with wood sawdust (husk) overturned on the Bolero car of the SDO of the Electricity Department near the Pahari Gate intersection located on Delhi-Nainital Highway-87. In this horrific accident, the Bolero driver died very painfully on the spot.

A live video of the accident has also surfaced, in which it can be seen that the truck going towards Bilaspur was trying to turn to the other side. Meanwhile, the truck suddenly climbed the divider and, losing its balance, hit the Bolero car passing by. The weight of the truck was so much that the Bolero collapsed completely.

The magnitude of the accident can be gauged from the fact that the body of Bolero driver Firasat (54 years) got so pressed between the truck and the vehicle that his head became flattened. According to eyewitnesses present on the spot, the driver’s spinal cord broke into several pieces and the body was badly mutilated. After a lot of effort, the police removed the truck and Bolero from the road with the help of a crane and took out the body.
Bike rider narrowly escapes
There was a lot of traffic on the road at the time this accident occurred. When the truck overturned on the Bolero, a biker passing by was miraculously saved. If the truck had tilted a little more, the number of casualties could have increased.
Administrative action and traffic disruption
As soon as information about the accident was received, the local police team reached the spot. The police took the body into custody and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem. Due to this accident which happened in front of the power house on Nainital Road, there was a jam situation on the highway for a long time. With the help of crane, the police removed the damaged vehicles and made the traffic smooth.

Such accidents happening at Pahari Gate intersection are the result of high speed of heavy vehicles and carelessness at turning. Local residents have demanded that concrete arrangements be made for traffic safety at this intersection so that such tragic accidents can be prevented in future.
