Amit Shah’s visit to Assam today: Will gift projects worth crores of rupees, will also address public meeting

Guwahati. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on an important one-day visit to Assam today (Monday). There has been a slight change in his program since the plane could not take off on Sunday night due to fog and now he is arriving directly on Monday morning to inaugurate the development projects.

Salute to martyrs and inaugurate spiritual redevelopment-
The Home Minister’s visit will begin from the ‘Shaheed Memorial Area’ in Guwahati, where he will pay tribute to the martyrs of the Assam movement. After this, he will visit ‘Batadrava Thana’, the birthplace of the great Vaishnav saint Srimanta Sankardev, located at Borduwa in Nagaon district. Here he will inaugurate a grand redevelopment project completed at a cost of Rs 227 crore. On this occasion he will also address a huge public meeting.

‘Smart’ gift for the security of Guwahati-
The Home Minister will return to Guwahati in the afternoon, where he will unveil two major projects to modernize the city’s security arrangements:
ICCS Centre: ‘Integrated Command and Control System’ costing Rs 189 crore. This center will monitor the security and emergency response of the entire city through more than 2,000 CCTV cameras.

Police Commissionerate: New state-of-the-art building of Guwahati Police Commissionerate built at a cost of Rs 111 crore.

Promotion of cultural heritage: Jyoti Bishnu Complex-
Before leaving for Delhi, Amit Shah will inaugurate the ‘Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Complex’ built at a cost of Rs 291 crore in Guwahati. It is a huge auditorium with a capacity of 5,000 seats, which will provide a new platform to the art and culture of the state.
