The double whammy of dense fog and air pollution in the country’s capital Delhi and the entire NCR has made the condition of people miserable. There was dense fog in many areas of Delhi-NCR since Sunday morning. Which became even more dense by evening and still remains so. Due to this, the speed of vehicles moving on the roads has become extremely slow. Visibility reduced to about 50 metres. Due to low visibility, vehicles were seen moving on the roads with parking lights on.
Along with fog, pollution is also increasing in the capital. According to Sameer App of Air Pollution Control Board, the air quality index has been recorded above 400 in many areas of Delhi. Which falls in the extremely dangerous category. The overall AQI of the capital was around 400. Whereas it reached 446 in Noida, 434 in Greater Noida and 445 in Gurugram. A thick layer of mist and smog has engulfed the entire area. Due to which people are facing problems like burning sensation in eyes, difficulty in breathing, cough and headache.
