Haryana: Property details sought from IAS-IPS officers of Haryana, details will have to be given by 31 January 2026

Haryana News: Haryana government has asked state cadre IAS and IPS officers for complete details of their immovable assets. Orders in this regard have been issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi. Actually, the Central Government has instructed all IAS officers to compulsorily submit the details of their immovable property (Immovable Property Return-IPR) on the online portal by 31 January 2026.

Warning of action if information is not given on time
The order clearly states that if the officers do not submit the details of their assets by the stipulated time, disciplinary action can be taken against them. Along with this, a warning has also been given about stopping promotion and not getting vigilance clearance. The aim of this move is said to be to strengthen transparency and accountability in administration.

Impact on central and foreign deputation also
According to a senior official, this process is not new, but it is adopted every year under the instructions of DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training) dated April 4, 2011. As per the rules, officers who do not submit IPR on time may be considered ineligible for any post in the Central Government, even for foreign deputation. At present there are about 5,004 IAS officers working across the country.

Property information has already been revealed
In the month of April, the property details of many senior IAS officers of Haryana have become public. In these, information about flats, agricultural land and other immovable properties in various cities was revealed. This instruction is applicable for IAS officers across the country, hence it is mandatory for Haryana cadre officers also to follow it.

Many officers of Haryana are millionaires
According to revelations, Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi owns a mango orchard in Uttar Pradesh and flats in Panchkula and Gurugram. Home Secretary Sumita Mishra has a builder floor worth about Rs 3.5 crore in Delhi. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Nayab Saini, is said to have land worth Rs 2.5 crore in Hisar. At the same time, information about a flat worth about Rs 3 crore of famous IAS officer Ashok Khemka in Gurugram has come to light.

Apart from this, former DGP Shatrujit Kapoor has land in Haryana as well as Mohali, Kapurthala and Bathinda in Punjab, while there is a house worth about Rs 4 crore in Gurugram in the name of his wife. CID chief Saurabh Singh is said to have five acres of land in Uttar Pradesh.

169 IAS and 106 IPS officers in Haryana cadre
All these facts have come to light on the basis of official information given by IAS and IPS officers to the Central Government. There are currently 169 IAS and 106 IPS officers working in Haryana cadre. Now following the instructions of the Centre, all the officers will have to give complete details of their assets within the stipulated time limit, otherwise they may have to face action.
