Why rest for Bumrah and Hardik?

Bumrah has played cricket continuously in the last few months. The selectors want to keep him completely fresh after the Australia tour so that he remains completely fit for the domestic T20 World Cup to be held in February. At the same time, Hardik is being fed carefully in the ODI format. Considering his fitness and preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026, he may be given a break from this series.

These players may get a chance

If these two veterans are not included in the team, many young faces can be seen in the team. Nitish Kumar Reddy is being seen as the best option for Hardik Pandya. He has impressed everyone with his fast bowling and aggressive batting. Nitish was contributing in all formats for the last one year. Was also part of the team in the ODI series against Australia.
