First look inside your heart… India scolded Pakistan for giving knowledge on minorities.

New Delhi:India has shown a mirror to Pakistan by giving a strong reply to its comments regarding minorities. The Ministry of External Affairs has clearly stated that a country whose own behavior towards minorities has been very poor, should look at its record before pointing fingers at India. India has completely rejected Pakistan’s allegations and called them factless and misleading.

India’s strong reaction to Pakistan’s comment

The Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Monday saying that the statements given by Pakistan regarding alleged attacks on minorities in India are baseless. The ministry said that the allegations made by Pakistan are just an attempt to hide its own failures and the serious oppression being committed against minorities there. India made it clear that Pakistan cannot divert attention from its internal situation by making such allegations on international forums.

Pakistan’s record on minorities is under question

In its statement, the Foreign Ministry described Pakistan’s minority record as an example of horrific and systematic oppression. According to the ministry, incidents of violence, forced conversion, kidnapping and discrimination against minority communities belonging to different religions have been coming to light in Pakistan for a long time. In such a situation, Pakistan’s giving knowledge on minorities to India is completely hollow and hypocritical.

The truth will not be hidden by allegations and counter-allegations

India bluntly said that blaming each other does not change the ground reality. The Ministry of External Affairs also clarified that Pakistan’s repeated attempts to draw the attention of the international community towards India cannot hide the plight of minorities in its own country. India gave the message that the world community is well aware of the real situation in Pakistan.

What did Pakistan say?

Actually, this reaction has come after the statement of Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, in which he had described some incidents in India as targeting religious minorities. He also appealed to the international community to pay attention to these matters. According to media reports, he had cited human rights while criticizing India.

India reiterated its stand

India once again reiterated that it is a democratic and pluralistic country, where the Constitution provides equal rights and protection to all citizens. India said that the protection and respect of minorities is an integral part of its democratic system and there is no need to give a certificate from any foreign country on this subject.
