Video-If my father even looked at that girl, he should be hanged, big statement of Kuldeep Sengar’s daughter Aishwarya Sengar.

New Delhi. The Supreme Court has stayed the Delhi High Court order suspending the life sentence of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who was convicted by the trial court in the 2017 Unnao rape case. The reaction of convicted Kuldeep Sengar has come to light on the decision of the Supreme Court. His daughter Aishwarya Sengar has released her statement in the media.

On the decision of the Supreme Court, Kuldeep Singh Sengar said in a statement issued through his daughter that today we could not even start the debate on the merits of the case. The victim has changed her statements several times. The time of the incident was first told by him as 2 o’clock, then at 6 o’clock and finally at 8 o’clock. In the report of AIIMS Medical Board, his age has been found to be more than 18 years.

He further said that our dignity and peace were snatched away from us and even our basic right to be heard was denied to us. It is clear from the location recorded in the call data recorder (CDR) of my phone that I was not present there at the time of the alleged incident. It has also come to light that the victim herself was talking on the phone at the alleged time of the incident. I have been fighting for justice for the last 8 years, but perhaps the sufferings of me and my family are not worth it. Still there is hope for justice. I request the media not to spread any kind of wrong information.

There are many misleading news going on in the media: Aishwarya Sengar

Kuldeep Sengar’s daughter Aishwarya Sengar alleged that misleading information is being shared in the mainstream media and social media regarding the death of the victim’s aunt and uncle in a road accident. He said that people do not even know that we have already been discharged in the alleged road accident case. The case was investigated by other institutes including IIT Delhi and the CBI team, who called it a natural accident. In the case of custodial death of the victim’s father, my father was not even in the city at that time and he was added only under Section 120(B). No witness has died, as is being said in some media reports. I again appeal to the media not to spread any misleading or false information.

Supreme stay on Sengar’s relief from Delhi HC

The Unnao rape victim had challenged the Delhi High Court’s decision to suspend the life sentence of Kuldeep Sengar in the Supreme Court. A bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant heard the case on Monday. The bench said that ‘important questions of law’ arise in this case and issued notice to Kuldeep Sengar’s lawyer and asked him to file his reply within two weeks. Staying the Delhi High Court order, the Supreme Court made it clear that Kuldeep Sengar will remain in jail as he is already serving a sentence in another criminal case. Now the next hearing in the case will take place after four weeks.
