Three laborers who went to clean the company’s septic tank died, five fell ill

Mumbai In Sangli district of Maharashtra, three laborers who went to clean the septic tank of a company died while five people fell ill. All five have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. This is being investigated. Police informed about this incident today.

Three laborers who had gone to clean the septic tank of Bombay Rayon Company, located between Waghawadi Phata and Peth Naka on the Pune-Bangalore Asian International Highway in Ishwarpur in Sangli district, died due to suffocation in the septic tank and five other laborers fell ill.

The team of Ishwarpur police station got these five admitted to the nearby hospital for treatment and has started investigating the case. Police Inspector of Ishwarpur police station, Somnath Wagh, who is investigating the case, said on Monday that on Sunday evening, three laborers got into the tank one after the other to clean the septic tank of Bombay Ryan Company, but all three fell unconscious in the tank itself.

After locating these three, five workers again got into the tank, when these five did not make any noise, the company people informed the police and fire brigade. After this, all the laborers were taken out of the tank late on Sunday night and all were admitted to the nearest hospital. But among these eight labourers, doctors declared Vishal Subhash Jadhav (35), Sachin Tanaji Jadhav (39) and Sagar Rangrao Mali (33) dead.

On Monday morning, the health of a laborer, Mahadev Ramchandra Kadam (46), started deteriorating, due to which Kadam was sent to Kolhapur Government Hospital for further treatment. Sick laborers Sunil Anand Pawar (29), Keshav Anand Salunkhe (45), Hemant Shankar Dhanwade (27) and Vishal Maruti Chougule (29) are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ishwarpur. In this matter, a case of negligence has been registered against Bombay Rayon Company and a thorough investigation of the matter is going on.
