The official launch date for OnePlus’s new Turbo series of phones has been announced! On January 8th, OnePlus will be launching the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V in China. The official livestream announced the launch date, and OnePlus supported it with social media. For the past few weeks, leaks have pointed to a January launch. Now, OnePlus has made it official.
The OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V appear to both be very focused on ultra-long battery life, flagship-level performance, and display speed. With these two models, OnePlus is clearly appealing to those looking for something powerful without paying the premium price of most flagship phones.
Simple Design, No Big Changes
So far, the teaser photos indicate that both devices will have minimal, clean design language and a similar appearance. There is a square camera block on the back. Inside it, you get two cameras and an LED flash. No extra design tricks. No strange shapes.
The body looks flat and solid. OnePlus seems to be playing it safe with the design this time. This time around, it appears that OnePlus is taking a safer functional design approach.
