Tata’s expansion in Bhutan… India’s largest hotel company starts hotels with 45 rooms

Delhi. Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company Limited on Monday announced the opening of the 45-room Taj Paro Resort & Spa, expanding its presence in Bhutan. The country’s largest hotel company said the launch is also an expansion of its partnership with CG Hospitality.

Punit Chatwal, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), IHCL, said, “In line with our strategy to expand our presence in the Indian subcontinent, we are delighted to announce the opening of Taj Paro Resort & Spa.”

“This further strengthens our more than two decade long partnership with CG Hospitality Global,” he said. CG Hospitality Global is a member of CG Corp Global which has a number of hotels in the Middle East, Greater Himalayan and Indian Ocean region.

Rahul Choudhary, MD & CEO, CG Hospitality Global, said, “The launch of Taj Hotel in Paro (Bhutan City) with the unmatched hospitality of the world’s strongest hotel brand will re-establish Bhutan as a premier destination on the global tourism map.” IHCL has a strong portfolio of 392 hotels. Of these, 143 hotels are under construction across four continents, 14 countries and more than 150 locations globally.
