Student Anjal Chakma, who was seriously injured in the racial slur and violent attack, fought for life for several days, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. He said that a young MBA student from Tripura was stabbed to death just because of his identity. This is not only a criminal incident, but also a serious question for the society and system.
Damage to the unity of the country- Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal said that such incidents harm the unity and brotherhood of the country. Attacking any citizen on the basis of his identity, language or background cannot be acceptable. He demanded that strict action should be taken against racism and hate crimes in the country and for this an effective national law is needed.
Murdered for protesting against racial remarks
Aam Aadmi Party says that Angel Chakma had allegedly protested against the racial remarks being made against him. During this time the attackers brutally beat him and seriously injured him. After this attack that took place in public on the road, the student was admitted to the hospital, where he struggled for several days during treatment, but his life could not be saved.
