New Year’s gift to Rajasthan, refinery and 5 stations inaugurated
Refinery and 5 railway stations are going to be inaugurated in Rajasthan in January–February 2026. The stations have been rejuvenated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. This will increase employment and passengers will get modern facilities.
Rajasthan: The state government has sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration of the refinery. According to highly placed sources, the target to complete the work has been kept till January 15. This will strengthen the economy of Rajasthan and provide employment opportunities to thousands of people.
The development of the refinery is being considered as a milestone project. Experts say that this will not only give a boost to industries but will also benefit local farmers and traders.
Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Officials of the Railway Ministry and North Western Railway have started preparations for the possible visit of the Prime Minister. PM Modi will inaugurate Jaisalmer, Barmer, Khairthal, Rewari and Dausa railway stations.
All these stations have been rejuvenated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Under this, renovation of the station building, beautification of the circulating area, spacious parking and modern facilities have been developed. The Prime Minister can also virtually inaugurate these stations during the inauguration of the refinery at Pachpadra.
Improvement in passenger amenities
Railway officials said that separate entry and exit gates have been made at the stations. Waiting areas, digital boards, security cameras, and convenient ticketing systems have been developed for passengers. This will provide passengers with a comfortable and safe travel experience.
Experts say that with these development works, Rajasthan’s railway system and transportation infrastructure will become modern. This initiative will also promote tourism and trade in the state.
