Thakurdwara Police’s masterplan to prevent road accidents, new rules issued for shopkeepers and drivers
Yameen Vikat, Thakurdwara: The police have geared up in Thakurdwara, Moradabad amidst severe cold and dense fog. The police administration is now seen in action mode to control road accidents. Under the leadership of CO Ashish Pratap Singh, the police team took to the streets and launched a vigorous campaign against encroachment and illegal parking.
Fog havoc and police strictness
During the winter season, fog forms, due to which serious accidents occur every day. In view of this, the team of CO Ashish Pratap Singh, Inspector Manoj Kumar Parmar and SSI Vijendra Singh conducted an intensive checking campaign at Tikonia Park, Moradabad Road and Kashipur Road. The police has made it clear that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated on the road during fog.
Strict warning to shopkeepers and restaurant owners
During the campaign, the police gave strict instructions to the owners of restaurants and shops located on Moradabad and Kashipur Road. The police called for the goods kept outside the shops to be removed immediately, as the goods kept on the roadside make the road narrow and the drivers are unable to see in the fog. The police bluntly said that if the goods were not removed, strict action would be taken.
Action on vehicles parked without parking lights
A major cause of accidents is trucks and cars parked on the roadside without lighting the parking lights. Inspector Manoj Kumar Parmar said that in fog, vehicles coming from behind often collide with these parked trucks. Therefore, the police have given instructions that no vehicle will park on the roadside without parking lights. The police gave a strict warning to many vehicle owners present at the spot and got their vehicles removed from there.
