India Open 2026 to be held in Delhi: The year 2026 in badminton will start with India Open. India Open 2026 will be held from January 13-18 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The total prize money of this tournament is 950,000 US dollars (8,54,84,325 Indian Rupees). If we talk about Indian rupees then it is more than Rs 8 crore 54 lakh.

Organized by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) under the Badminton World Federation (BWF), this Super 750 tournament will once again host the world’s top shuttlers in India. As a major event on the BWF World Tour schedule, the India Open awards up to 11,000 ranking points.

Fans will see international stars like Ann Se-Young, PV Sindhu, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty and Lakshya Sen as well as India’s emerging talents like Unnati Hooda and Ayush Shetty playing in the 6-day tournament.

There will be arrangements for more than 8 thousand spectators

There will be seating arrangements for more than 8 thousand spectators during the match, which is double the number from last time. The event reflects the growing importance of India as a major international badminton event. The 2026 edition aims to deliver a bigger, more exciting and more engaging experience for both players and fans.

Tickets will start from Rs 400

Tickets for India Open 2026 will be sold only online. Their prices start from Rs 400, with premium seats going up to Rs 1,750. This will provide options in different categories. The first phase of ticket sales will run till the end of December, in which the biggest discounts will be available especially for the knockout matches. After this, tickets will be available at lower prices in the next phases starting from the beginning of January.
