Tariq Rahman, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has returned to the country after 17 years. Rahman’s return has brought a new twist in Bangladesh politics. Rahman’s return comes at a time when there is political instability and a new wave of protests in the country. On the other hand, the return of Khaleda Zia’s son to his country has worsened the condition of Mohammad Yunus and fundamentalist groups.
