Amit Shah’s roar in Kolkata: Bengal elections will be held on the issue of infiltration in 2026; Said- Mamta government spread fear and corruption
Kolkata. The political temperature has already risen for the assembly elections to be held in West Bengal in 2026. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during a press conference in Kolkata on Tuesday. Shah clarified that the main basis of the upcoming elections will be ‘infiltration’ and ‘national security’.
Mamta government cornered on infiltration and fencing-
Amit Shah alleged that Mamata Banerjee is promoting Bangladeshi infiltration for her political gains. Raising the issue of border security, he said, “Due to the non-provision of land by the West Bengal government, we are not able to complete the fencing work of the Bangladesh border. In 2026, the BJP government will be formed in Bengal and we will completely control infiltration.”
‘Chargesheet’ on 15 years of rule-
Criticizing the tenure of TMC, the Home Minister said that in the last 15 years only fear, corruption and misgovernance have reigned in the state. Shah said that due to administrative failure today there is an atmosphere of anxiety and insecurity among the common citizens of Bengal.
Time till elections ‘decisive’ for Bengal-
Addressing the workers and the public, Amit Shah said that the time from today to April is extremely important for the future of West Bengal. Inspiring enthusiasm among the workers, he said that now the time has come when the people of Bengal will uproot the misgovernance of TMC and choose the path of good governance.
