Ahead of the fourth season of WPL starting from 9 January 2026, the franchise has roped in Australian legend Kristen Beams. This announcement of the team has raised alarm bells for the opposing teams.
Who is Kristen Beams?
Kristen Beams has been a very experienced and successful leg spinner of Australia. His arrival will strengthen the team’s spin bowling. Beams has played 30 ODI and 18 T20 matches for Australia. She was the third highest wicket taker for Australia in the 2017 ODI World Cup. After retirement, Beams has also made his mark in coaching. She has coached in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and England’s ‘The Hundred’ League. Apart from this, she has also been the head coach of Australia’s Under-19 women’s team.
