On the recommendation of CM Bhajanlal Sharma, the Central Government has given an important gift worth crores of rupees to Bharatpur. The Central Government has given historic approval of Rs 201 crore for the construction of elevated flyover at Saras intersection and Rs 118 crore for the 5 km long service line road. This is being considered as a big and decisive step towards the development of Bharatpur.

Union Road Transport Ministry’s approval, tender process started

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has given formal approval to this ambitious project and has also invited tenders. As soon as the project was approved, there was a wave of happiness among the people of Bharatpur and people expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma as well as the Central Government. This project will prove to be a milestone in traffic improvement as well as overall development of the city.

Relief from traffic jams and accidents

The completion of this project will provide relief from the long standing problem of traffic jam in Bharatpur. This scheme will provide many benefits like time saving, safe transportation and reduction in accidents. Saras Chauraha, Sheesham Tiraha and Uncha Nagla situated in Bharatpur border on Jaipur-Agra National Highway have already been identified as black spots, where accidents keep happening every day.

Construction work will be done on three major black spots

Under the scheme, underpass, elevated road and 5 kilometer service road on both sides will be constructed at Saras intersection, Sheesham Tiraha and Uncha Nagla. According to the tender notice, the flyover construction work will be completed in about two years and the service road work will be completed in 18 months. This will lead to effective control of accidents and ease of transportation.

Thousands of people and dozens of colonies will get relief

The construction of elevated road and underpass will provide direct relief to thousands of people living in about two dozen colonies located on the other side of Saras intersection. This demand has been raised on various forums for a long time. This issue has also been raised in the Parliament and a question has been raised in the House by Bharatpur MP Sanjana Jatav. Apart from this, this matter has also been discussed in the media and through the PIL filed in the High Court.

Bharatpur gets new pace of development under the leadership of CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Apart from being the home district of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, development works in Bharatpur have gained new momentum due to his active initiative and strong advocacy. Already, construction work on several flyovers is underway in the city and roads are being widened. Under the budget announcement, flyover sections from Hiradas to Kali Ki Bagichi, Kali Ki Bagichi to RBM Hospital and Hiradas to Kumher Gate have been approved, work on which is going on at a fast pace.
