Many big names left out for T20 World Cup

England has left out some big names for the T20 World Cup. Fast bowler Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson, all-rounder Liam Livingston, Jamie Smith and wicketkeeper-batsman Jack Crawley did not get a place in the team. These players are not part of the squad due to injury and poor form. The new faces include fast bowler Josh Tongue, who has played only Test cricket so far. Joffra Archer is in the T20 World Cup squad, but will not go on the Sri Lanka tour because he is injured. All-rounder Will Jacques has returned to the team.

England’s group and schedule in T20 World Cup 2026

England are in Group C, which includes Bangladesh, Italy, Nepal and West Indies. The team’s first match will be against Nepal on 8 February in Mumbai. After this, matches will be played against West Indies on 11 February, Bangladesh on 14 February and Italy on 16 February.
