New twist in Don franchise
Mumbai: Bollywood’s famous franchise ‘Don’ is once again in the news. First Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Don in this film in 1978, then Shahrukh Khan gave a brilliant performance in its remake in 2006 and 2011. Now new information has come out about ‘Don 3’, which is exciting the fans. According to reports, Ranveer Singh has decided to exit the film, and Hrithik Roshan is being approached for the lead role in his place.
Will Hrithik Roshan become the new Don?
Recently it was reported that Ranveer Singh has left ‘Don 3’ after the success of ‘Dhurandhar’. However, some reports say that this decision was taken due to creative differences. The makers have not given any official statement on this. But according to sources, Farhan Akhtar is in talks with Hrithik Roshan. The talks are still in the initial stages, but Hrithik is considered a strong candidate for the role.

Interestingly, the relationship between Hrithik and ‘Don’ is old. When Farhan made his first ‘Don’ in 2006, his first choice was Hrithik Roshan. Farhan had said in an interview that after ‘Lakshya’ he wanted to work with Hrithik again, but during the script, Shahrukh Khan’s name seemed more suitable. Hrithik had wholeheartedly told that Farhan should make his film as per his wish. Now after 19 years this old discussion has started again.
Hrithik’s possible role in the film
Hrithik Roshan has always been successful as an action hero. His style and action in films like ‘War’, ‘Krrish’ series and ‘Fighter’ have been appreciated by the audience. He also had a cameo in ‘Don 2’, where Shahrukh’s character runs away wearing his mask. Fans are wondering how cool Hrithik will look as Don – stylish, dangerous and smart. The shooting of the film was planned to start from January 2026, but now it may get slightly delayed due to changes in casting. The makers want to finalize a big star so that the legacy of the franchise continues.
