Winter session of Delhi Assembly: ‘Sheesh Mahal’ CAG report will be presented on, Minister Kapil Mishra gave information
A big update has come out regarding the winter session of Delhi Assembly. The session will start from January 5 and will continue till January 8, 2026. This session will last only for 4 days. The government is going to present 3 CAG reports including ‘Sheesh Mahal’ in the Delhi Assembly during the session. Minister Kapil Mishra organized a press conference to give this information on December 30, 2025.
4 major decisions taken by the Council of Ministers in the press conference-
- The government itself is coming up with a proposal on pollution in the upcoming assembly session, an open discussion will be held on the issue of pollution and environment.
- All CAG reports of corruption related to ‘Sheesh Mahal’ will be tabled in the Assembly.
- The CAG report on corruption prevalent in Delhi Jal Board will also be placed before the public, so that the public can know why Delhi’s sewer system is in a bad state.
- In the field of higher education, a report on how corruption took place in the running of universities of Delhi Government will also be put forward.
Kapil Mishra said that some reports of CAG will be tabled in the Assembly. The CAG report which had come during the previous government, but was withheld by the previous Chief Minister. We had resolved that we will table all the reports. The CAG report on Sheeshmahal will be tabled in the Assembly in the coming session.
Suggestions sought from opposition on pollution control measures
He said, we will discuss what steps the previous government had taken to reduce pollution. Furthermore, we will also discuss the affidavits submitted in the Supreme Court and their current status with respect to reducing pollution. Suggestions have also been sought from the opposition on measures to deal with Delhi’s air pollution.
Chairman Vijendra Gupta had given these instructions to the officials
Let us tell you that in this winter session, along with the change in the digital functioning of the Assembly, a major administrative change can also be seen. Speaker Vijendra Gupta has recently directed the officials concerned that all legislative work including questions, notices, answers and introduction of bills will now be done entirely through the National e-Vidhan Application.
Chances of uproar over pollution issue
Let us tell you that there is a possibility of uproar in the House on the issue of continuously increasing pollution in Delhi. The opposition can also raise questions on the steps taken by the government to control it. Along with this, the opposition is making a strategy to corner the government on water crisis and administrative issues.
