IG Bastar distributed smartphones and training kits to 35 rehabilitated people

Raipur : Bastar IG Sundarraj P. on Tuesday inspected the rehabilitation center operated in village Devkhargaon of Kondagaon district under the Puna Margame: Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation initiative. During this, he interacted with the rehabilitated youth living in the center and got information about the benefits of training programs and government schemes. During this, he also distributed smartphones and training kits to 35 rehabilitated youth.

Bastar IG Sunderraj P., while discussing with the rehabilitated people, said that the intention of the government is to make the people who have left the path of violence self-reliant by skill training and connecting them with various government schemes, so that they can lead a respectable life and become a medium of positive change in the society. He called upon the rehabilitated people to utilize the training period with full enthusiasm and dedication and take the learning from here to their villages along with improving their lives. He expressed gratitude to the rehabilitated persons for adopting the path of development.

Collector Nupur Rashi Panna, while giving information about the training programs and activities conducted in the rehabilitation center, said that the aim of the government is that after training, the rehabilitated person should be able to earn the livelihood of his family through self-employment. Superintendent of Police Pankaj Chandra informed about the skill training being given in various trades under the Puna Margame: Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation Scheme and the process of linking them with government schemes.

On this occasion, District Panchayat CEO Avinash Bhoi, Additional Superintendents of Police Rupesh Dande and Kaushalendra Dev Patel, Officer in-charge of Rehabilitation Center Puneshwar Verma and officers and employees of the police department were present.
