According to media reports, a BCCI source said that the medical team will not take any risk regarding Shreyas Iyer, because Iyer is very important for the ODI team. Iyer’s fitness is the biggest priority at the moment. Discussion is possible between the management and selectors before the announcement of Team India’s squad for the ODI series against New Zealand.
It was being told that before the ODI series against New Zealand, Shreyas Iyer can play in Vijay Hazare Trophy on 3rd and 6th January, but the new report has come out regarding his fitness. Looking at this it seems that it is very difficult for Iyer to play.
