T20 World Cup 2026: Now all the teams are currently seen announcing their 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2026. In which now the name of Oman’s team has been included. This team has made both captain and vice-captain players of Indian origin. Most of the players in this team seem to be of Indian and Pakistani origin. Oman team is going to play in T20 World Cup for the fourth time. However, his record in this tournament has not been very good.
Indians dominate Oman’s team
For the first time in the year 2016, Oman’s team became a part of the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, the team also played in this tournament in 2021. Oman team was also seen playing in the year 2024. Now she will be seen playing in the year 2026 also. So far, Oman team has played 10 matches in the T20 World Cup. Out of which only 2 matches have been won. Jatinder Singh’s team is part of Group B in the tournament. In which teams from Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Ireland are included along with Oman.
Jatinder Singh of Indian origin has got the captaincy, while Vinayak Shukla has got the vice-captaincy. Five players have been shown the door from the Asia Cup 2025 team. In which the names of Aamir Kalim, Sufiyan Yusuf, Aryan Bisht, Zikariya Islam and Mohammad Imran are included. Oman team is going to play its first match against Zimbabwe on 9 February.
