AAP MLA reached Punjab Assembly with letters from MNREGA workers, pledged to send it to PM
Chandigarh: In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has once again proved that it is a true well-wisher of the poor and labourers. Party MLAs have launched an unprecedented campaign to give voice to the plight and demands of more than 10 lakh MNREGA labor families in the state.
AAP MLA reached special session with letters from MNREGA workers
Aam Aadmi Party MLAs reached the special session of Punjab Assembly with lakhs of letters written by MNREGA workers. These letters tell the story of the pain and struggle of those working families who earn their living by working under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA). Let us tell you that MNREGA workers were also present in the Punjab Legislative Assembly today.
Resolve to deliver workers’ letters to PM
The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has not limited itself to presenting these letters only in the Assembly, but has resolved to send them directly to the Prime Minister of the country. Its objective is to make the Central Government aware of the real condition of the workers and demand immediate solution to their problems.

Delay in payment of wages is a big problem
MNREGA workers of Punjab are facing many serious problems. The biggest problem is the delay in payment of wages, due to which the livelihood of poor families is badly affected. Apart from this, many laborers are not able to get work on time, due to which they have to face unemployment. The Punjab government alleges that due to the Central Government not releasing MNREGA funds on time, the implementation of the scheme weakens and the workers have to face a lot of trouble.
This initiative of Aam Aadmi Party shows that the party is committed to taking the voices of the poor buried in the files to the corridors of power. This campaign is a strategic initiative to put pressure on the Central Government, so that MNREGA funds are released on time and the workers get their rights.
Aam Aadmi Party has always stood with the poor and laborers and will continue to stand with them in future also. This letter campaign is a symbol of that commitment.
