IND W vs SL W: India gave a target of 176 runs to Sri Lanka, after Harmanpreet, Arundhati did wonders
Sri Lanka Tour of India: The fifth and last match of the five-match T20 series between the Indian Women’s Cricket Team and the Sri Lankan Women’s Cricket Team is being played at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Tuesday. In this match, the Indian team has set a target of 176 runs for Sri Lanka to win.
Harmanpreet Kaur scored a half century
The Sri Lankan team won the toss and invited the Indian team to bat. The Indian team scored 175 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur scored 68 runs for India. Arundhati Reddy remained unbeaten scoring 27 runs in 11 innings.
Three bowlers took 2-2 wickets
Amanjot Kaur scored 21 runs. Harleen Deol scored 13 runs and G Kamalini scored 12 runs. Deepti Sharma scored 7 runs, while Shefali Verma and Richa Ghosh scored 5 runs each. Kavisha Dilhari, Rashmika Sevwandi and Chamari Atapattu took two wickets each for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka created pressure in the beginning
In the match, the Sri Lankan team started putting pressure on the Indian batsmen right from the beginning. Bowler Nimisha Madhusani broke the Indian opening pair on the first ball of the second over. She dismissed Shefali Verma on a personal score of 5. After this, Dilhari showed the way to the pavilion by getting G Kamalini out LBW on the first ball of the 5th over.

In 6 overs of powerplay, the Indian team could score only 40 runs after losing two wickets. After this, something amazing happened when as soon as the power play ended, Harleen Deol was clean bowled by Rashmika Sevwandi on the second ball of the seventh over.

Amanjot-Arundhati supported the captain
However, on the other hand, captain Harmanpreet Kaur continued scoring while handling one end. During this time, Richa Ghosh (5) and Deepti Sharma (7) also failed to support him. But after that, due to Amanjot Kaur (21) and Arundhati Reddy, the Indian team managed to reach the target of 175.
