Jamaat will be controlled if BNP returns to power
After the ban on Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League, BNP’s victory has become important from India’s point of view. If BNP wins, Jamaat-e-Islami with fundamentalist ideology will be curbed. Jamaat has always been moving ahead with radical anti-India ideology. After returning home, Tariq Rahman had said that he wants to create a Bangladesh where Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians are all safe. He also appealed to the people to maintain peace.
