BMC Election 2026: Aam Aadmi Party released manifesto

Aam Aadmi Party has made big announcements regarding the elections of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. At a press conference, AAP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming elections.

Mumbai: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has prepared a big strategy before the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026 in Mumbai, the financial capital of Maharashtra. The party which presented a brilliant governance and development model in Delhi is now promising to implement the “Delhi Model” in Mumbai too. The party has presented 10 big promises to the voters for the BMC elections, which include free electricity, water, health facilities and education.

  1. Free Electricity: AAP has announced that if the party comes to power in BMC, up to 200 units of electricity will be provided free of cost. The party claims that this will provide huge relief to the electricity bills of Mumbaikars.
  2. 24 hours free water: You also promised that up to 20,000 liters of free water will be provided to every citizen. This scheme is being considered an important step to deal with rising water prices and water crisis.
  3. World Class Education: AAP said that children of BMC area will be provided world class education facilities. Under this, a plan has been made to connect children with free bus passes and modern education system.
  4. Free Health Services: The party announced that free health facilities would be delivered to the doorsteps of people. There is also a plan to open Mohalla Clinics in the BMC area, which will enable people to get health services at the local level.
  5. Environmental improvement and cleanliness: AAP said in its manifesto that the roads will be made pothole-free. Also, the party will give priority to better waste management and protection of green areas in the BMC area.
  6. Improvement in public transport: The party announced that a fleet of 10,000 electric buses will be made available to the public. Women will get free bus service, which will reduce Mumbai’s congestion and transport crisis.
  7. Security and Surveillance: AAP promised the public that CCTV cameras and street lights will be installed in all localities. Its objective is to increase the security of citizens and control crime.
  8. affordable housing: AAP said that every citizen will get a house. People living in rented houses will be given relief and resident security will be ensured through affordable housing schemes.
  9. Business Improvement: AAP promised that the licensing process will be simplified and the business environment in the BMC area will be made friendly. This will benefit small and medium industries and increase investment.
  10. Corruption free BMC: The final and important promise of AAP is that if the party comes to power, BMC will be made completely corruption free. This promise is in line with AAP’s governance model in Delhi, which provides transparency and accountability to the public.

Analysts say that this strategy of AAP is clearly a preparation to implement the Delhi model in Mumbai. The party plans to create a huge vote bank by guaranteeing direct benefits and facilities to the voters.
