Ekta Kapoor’s protest
Ekta Kapoor expressed her displeasure on this issue through Instagram Stories. He criticized the use of a song named Pavitra Rishta for a project and raised questions on the creativity and ethics behind it. Ekta accused the makers that when creators fail to make their own thing, they resort to the work of others. He also called it ‘terrible ethics’ and ‘bankruptcy’. Ekta also said that there was ‘nothing sacred’ in the name Pavitra Rishta anymore.
New show ‘Pavitra Rishta’
This protest by Ekta Kapoor has come before the launch of Zee TV’s new romantic drama Pavitra Rishta. This show has been created by Siddharth Vankara and produced by Aman Sachdeva. Abrar Kazi and Priyanshi Yadav will be seen in lead roles in the upcoming show, while Pallav Pradhan and Rupa Divetia will also be a part of the show. Although the show is going by the same name, it has nothing to do with Ekta Kapoor’s original Pavitra Rishta.

According to reports, the shooting of this new show is expected to start in January 2026 and it is likely to premiere in February. ‘Pavitra Rishta’ and Sushant Singh Rajput
Pavitra Rishta premiered on Zee TV in 2009 and was produced by Ekta Kapoor under her banner Balaji Telefilms. In this show, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and actress Ankita Lokhande played the characters of Manav and Archana. The show was based on the struggles of love, family responsibilities and sacrifice of a middle class couple and through it, Sushant Singh Rajput gained massive recognition.
