WPL 2026: Before the next season of Women’s IPL i.e. Women’s Premier League 2026 (WPL 2026), Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals got a blow worth crores. One player each from both the teams refused to play the next season. These players are none other than Ellyse Perry and Annabel Surdland.

Let us tell you that Ellyse Perry was retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sutherland by Delhi Capitals for the next season by paying crores of rupees. Both the players have withdrawn from the next season citing personal reasons.

Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry was retained by RCB for the 2026 season for a price of Rs 2 crore. On the other hand, Australian all-rounder Annabel Sardland was retained by Delhi for Rs 2.20 crore. However, replacements for both the players have also been decided.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, Sayli Satghare has come to RCB in place of Perry, while Alana King has been kept in the team in place of Sardaland. Satghare will join the Bengaluru team for her base price of Rs 30 lakh. Alana, who played for UP Warriors last season, joined Delhi for a price of Rs 60 lakh.

RCB faces huge loss due to Perry’s departure (WPL 2026)

RCB women’s team won the Women’s Premier League title in 2024, in which Ellyse Perry made an important contribution. He won the Orange Cap title by scoring the highest number of 347 runs in the season. Along with this he also took 9 wickets. After this, in 2025, he performed brilliantly and scored 372 runs, which included 4 half-centuries.

Delhi will also suffer loss due to Sutherland’s departure (WPL 2026)

On the other hand, Sutherland also performed well for Delhi. Last season, he bowled brilliantly and took 9 wickets in his name. During this period his economy was 7.56.
