Rajasthan Cabinet meeting: Vehicle Scrapping Policy-2025 approved, these other proposals approved
A cabinet meeting was held on December 30 under the chairmanship of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. The scrapping policy for vehicles was approved in the meeting, while the revised cost of Pachpadra Refinery was also approved. Along with this, many other important decisions have also been approved.
Let us tell you that the cost of the refinery was earlier estimated to be around Rs 72 thousand crores, which has now increased to Rs 79 thousand 459 crores. This information has been given by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Premchand Bairwa.
Let us tell you that in the cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office, many important decisions were taken to approve new policies to promote environmental protection, green and sustainable development in the state, to promote responsible, ethical and safe use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in various sectors including governance, industry, education and employee welfare.
Vehicles will be scrapped as per scientific, safe and environmental standards
In compliance with the announcement of the budget year 2025–26, Rajasthan Vehicle Scrapping Policy-2025 has been approved. The objective of this policy is to phase-out the removal of unfit and polluting vehicles from the roads in the state and ensure their disposal as per scientific, safe and environmental standards.
Under this policy, establishment of Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSF) will be encouraged in the state. The scrapping process of vehicles through these centers will be completely transparent, digital and traceable. All scrapping processes will be integrated with the Vahan portal, eliminating any possibility of unauthorized use of scrapable vehicles.

Cabinet approves these other decisions
- Rajasthan Revenue Accounting Service Rules 2025 have been approved in the cabinet meeting.
- The decision related to giving tax exemption on purchase of new vehicles has been approved.
- Considering the importance of IT in service delivery, the CM has approved the Rajasthan AIML policy.
- A decision has been taken in the Assembly regarding the appointment of additional marshal.
